It’s about giving the smallest among us a chance…
Imagine how tough it is to be a child…learning to walk and climb and jump…learning how to use the toilet and how to get dressed…learning how to speak and understand others…how to play, make new friends, how to get along.
Imagine how much harder it would be starting out life with cerebral palsy, spina bifida or Down Syndrome. Imagine the struggles of a child who has developmental delays due to a parent’s substance abuse. Imagine the pain of being a child experiencing domestic violence or neglect.
In Cambria County alone, over 500 of our youngest, most vulnerable residents, children from birth to three years of age, face problems due to these causes and others…problems that can put them behind from the very beginning of their lives with little chance of catching up.
Beginnings is all about catching up. It’s about giving the smallest among us a chance.
